Top Heavy Legacies?

We at Gullands always advise our clients to keep their Wills under review and to consider revising them if circumstances change. The fall in property prices may mean that some clients wish to consider reviewing their Wills, in particular where they have left substantial cash legacies. Legacies are payable before any payments are made to residuary beneficiaries. You may wish to reduce the amount payable under your legacies, or alternatively, to express the amount which you wish to leave to particular persons or institutions as a percentage of your residuary estate instead.
