It gives me great pleasure to announce to all our clients and partners an exciting development:

Following months of intensive negotiations, Professional Solutions Group Ltd has acquired Rory Cowan Independent Financial Advisers of Ashhurst, Sussex. Rory established his business some years ago following a successful career in the military. He is semi-retiring to the Western Isles and I would like to take this opportunity to wish him all the very best.

We are proud that Rory chose Professional Solutions Group, from a number of contenders, as his preferred buyer. Through our discussions, it quickly became apparent that the two companies shared the same approach to investing for the benefit of our clients, and that we had the same ethos of high service standards. These similarities, combined with a desire to work with our clients on an ongoing basis, rather than through the traditional ‘transactional’ relationship still pursued by many of our competitors, indicated our businesses where an excellent match.

The above announcement means the future of Professional Solutions Group is further strengthened, taking the funds over which we have influence from £10 million to in excess of £15 million; a figure that will rise steadily to well over £20 million in the coming years as investment markets recover. Professional Solutions Group now enjoys a position of some influence with service and product providers and as such we are able to maintain, and in some cases improve, the terms they offer our clients. This will benefit all of us in a market where costs are being driven sharply up by regulatory fees and business failures. Further, we can now offer clients unrivalled, personal access to the Fund Managers that we select for them, which many clients will want to take advantage of in these uncertain times.
